The process

Five steps, running continuously

Nothing manual, nothing hidden. Each step leaves a record you can show an auditor.

  1. Screen the GSTIN before onboarding

Enter any 15-character GSTIN at onboarding. We validate the format, then fetch registration details straight from the GST data source — no manual portal visits.

    • Instant format validation
    • Live source fetch
    • Saved to your portfolio in one click
  2. Sync the full record

Every fetch pulls basic registration, filing preference and the return-filing table together, diffs them against what we hold and records what changed.

    • Basic info, preference and filing table
    • Field-level change log
    • Repeat lookups stay cheap
  3. Score on a dual model — Basic and Advanced

Two proprietary models run on the same GST portal data. The Basic model reads registration health and filing behaviour; the Advanced model layers deeper history, consistency and behavioural data points on top. Each returns a 100-point score with a clear risk band.

    • Two models, multiple data points each
    • Weighted, intelligent parameters
    • Score breakdown per vendor
  4. Re-evaluated daily, flagged near real time

Every GSTIN is evaluated and re-evaluated on a daily basis, and any movement in the risk score reaches you on a near real-time basis — you do not have to go looking for it.

    • Daily re-evaluation of every GSTIN
    • Near real-time intimation of score changes
    • Timestamped evidence for audits
  5. Keep the full change history

The entire scoring chart is visible on the portal — every score change with its date and the reason it moved, so you can prove what a vendor looked like on the day you claimed.

    • Score change date and reason
    • Full scoring chart on the portal
    • Defensible audit trail

Data we pull

The full record, not just a name check

Each sync brings registration, preference and return history together, then stores the difference from last time.

Registration basics

Legal name, trade name, constitution, registration date, jurisdiction, state and current registration status.

Filing preference

Monthly or quarterly (QRMP) preference by financial year and quarter, normalised into a consistent structure.

Return filing table

Return type, financial year, tax period, date of filing and status — the history that shows whether a vendor actually files.

Change history

Every field-level difference between syncs is logged, so you can prove what a vendor looked like on the date you claimed.

Dual scoring model

Two proprietary models, one score you can act on

Both models read GST portal data and evaluate multiple data points. Basic covers registration and filing behaviour; Advanced adds depth for vendors that carry real exposure.

Model 01

Basic scoring model

Reads the core registration and filing record from the GST portal — enough to clear or question a vendor at onboarding.

  • Registration status and vintage
  • Filing preference and cadence
  • Recent return-filing behaviour
  • Jurisdiction and constitution signals

Model 02

Advanced scoring model

Layers a wider set of data points on top of Basic — history depth, consistency over periods and behavioural patterns that only show up over time.

  • Multi-period filing consistency
  • Delay patterns and severity
  • Gaps and dormancy in return history
  • Change frequency across registration fields

Risk scoring

One 100-point scale, four risk bands

Whichever model runs, the output is the same 100-point scale with a defined band. Scores are re-evaluated daily and any change is intimated on a near real-time basis, with the full scoring chart — date and reason — kept on the portal.

Low risk

80 – 100

Active registration, consistent on-time filing. Safe to claim in the normal course.

Moderate risk

60 – 79

Minor delays or a recent cadence change. Worth a second look before large invoices.

Elevated risk

40 – 59

Repeated late filing or gaps in the return history. Hold or seek confirmation.

High risk

0 – 39

Suspended, cancelled or non-filing behaviour. Treat the credit as exposed.
